One of the most important things (what a terrible word to use. I wish I were wordier) about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is that members make promises to do certain things (again, dumb general word). The biggest thing for me? Mourn with those that mourn. What a great, compassionate, HUMAN thing to do, to mourn with those that mourn.
I hurt when my friends and family hurt. But I guess that hurt means that I'm not numb to the world. Mourning with those that mourn builds trust, shows love, heals hearts. I'll take that over numb any day.
